An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
